Ears, Eyes and Mouth

These are some strange Gramophone creations of mine... I really like these and how they turned out. I would love to use them someother way but I'm not sure how I would use them. Perhaps as evil characters in an animation who knows.

Gramophone

So these are some pictures of little cut out gramophones and of ink ones which I've drawn onto my tea stained sheet muisc. Using the muisc as a background and the drawings as my characters I would lke to try and make an animation.

Spinning....

Well this is just a strange recording of me spinning a camera. I think it represents a record spinning, or maybe it doesn't. You guys decided. Although I have a feeling this might be kinda stupid now. Watch the colours...

Recordsssss

Hi, its saturday night and I am home from work decided to put some stuff up here. These are my little records that I made. I made them out of a couple of different materials. As you can probably tell I like doing that......:D So anyway here they are I also wrote some bands etc on them you know music I like or whatever poped into my head at the time. Speak later spuds.....

P.s Everybody listen to Kasabian!! http://youtu.be/mM5YDI7ttME
Thats right its Noel Fielding :)

So this was made from card. I mixed black paint with sugar to make a rough suface on the disk

This one was made from paper, then painted black. I then covered the outside with clear plastic
This is just card painted black

This one is made from white folded material painted black and covered in clear plasyic
This one is made from card, then covered in maskind tape.
With a dry brush I then quickly painted on black and cover in plastic

These are all of them together

These are just some giant music notes I made from card coloured with markers

Ouch

Didn't go in today....:( As I woke up with a really bad headache. But I will go in tomorrow. I hear there are results from the progress reviews going round...so I've managed to miss that too :O....great. This animation crack is proving harder to start then anticipated. I keep putting myself off doing it because I suddenly think of something else I must to to make it right.

So I need a plan...
  • I should start with something simple
  • Nothing over complicated
  • Make it as good as I can
  • Move on to the finer details
  • See how far I can push it until it becomes crazy complicated (Ha)
Not sure if I should come up with a story for my Gramophones or just have one moving its different parts.

Take a listen http://youtu.be/6e3y2ACodnE

Camera

Ok so I finally got a camera and took some pictures of things that I have been making for the last while. These are just some different types of gramophones made in different materials. Also some wire gramophone horns.....

This is a Gramophone I made from cardboard and sheet music
This is a Gramophone I made from plastic and tape

This is the body of a Gramophone made from coragated cardboard

This is a very small model of a Gramophone made from cereal box cardboard

I really enjoyed making this one, I think it looks nice even though it may be very chliched

These are all Gramophone horns made from wire

They look a bit like flowers but I quite like them

These were each made in different sizes

Records in the sky

Here's something photo shop pic's which I was messing around with today. Its a funny idea I think, would love to work on them more and obviously have them look more realistic. But for a very quick first attempt they get the point across....I hope. Can I just say spell check is awesome! This may actually be a like offensive, I mean no offence though....spuds

for-i-day

All I have been doing today is making a wire frame of a gramophone horn. At this moment in time I am however watching American x-factor as I have just gotten back from work. Tomorrow I'm going to research artists and do more of the wire frame. So not a very eventfully day I guess hopefully it will pick up. In the mean time here are a couple of pictures of a small gramophone I made from cardboard. Enjoy spuds.

P.S Look there's my fridge :P
